Internship in India - Latest update

This is a scan of what i saw in paper today. According to this, doing internship in government medical colleges is going to become difficult. This is the news in Tamil Nadu, what is the news in other places?

    how long can i take to start my internship after once i receive my provisional number? is there any validity period for this provisional number?

    i dont think there is any validity period for the provisional number. The delay to start internship after provisional number varies from state to state. In Tamil Nadu, once you get the provisional registration number, you have to do the following.

    Checklist


    The following documents have to be submitted to the respective university under which you`re hospital is affiliated.They will then give you a no objection certificate, after which the DME(directorate of medical education) will assign you the hospital and the date in which you start with the posting. The estimated delay once you get provisional reg number in Tamil Nadu is 2 weeks. Which state do you belong to, i will enquire and tell you more information.

    but dr.bharath i think this regards to the people who complete their primary medical qualification in tamilnadu...not for the students who study abroad ryt...if they r refusing to give us permission to do internship..then how would be able to register ourselves as licensed practitioners...??...but one good thing out of this is..students who study abroad would have more places to do internship...now they r saying there is no place try somewhere else...

    Hello Dr. Thank u for the nice work. Actually I wanted to ask that suppose if want to do my internship(after getting provisional) from a District Hospital in Bihar, then what is the whole procedure I need to follow. Please tell me in a bit detail as I am calling up the State medical council also but they are not giving proper information.

    Hi I wanted to knw is d issued provisional reg. Number valid if d internship is started after d given validity date? Is der ne sort f fine to b paid or do v ve to reply for another provisional registration number?thanks
