    Hi! Thanks for your website! Its awesome and incredibly helpful! I have a few questions, if somebody could pls help me out as soon as possible, as I am already past the normal deadline!
    1. My uni is WHO recognized but not on the list that used to be part of the Info bookelt till last year.. WHAT PROOF AM I SUPPOSED TO ATTACH TO PROVE WHO RECOGNITION?
    2. I dowloaded the payment slip seperately, but why are there 2 pages of similar looking slips? WHICH ALL AM I SUPPOSED TO FILL UP? There are 6 slips in total - 3 on each page. Do I fill all of them?
    3. I am out of India right now. I will send in my application and documents to my cousin in Delhi who will submit the payment and application in person. Will that be ok?

    @anonymous:-
    1. Take print out from WHO website, with your college's name mentioned in the list, highlight it with a highlighter. However the best document to submit, will be the one that your college provides, that it is recognized by WHO.
    2.You have to fill all the three slips.
    3. You are allowed to send someone on your behalf, as long as you trust them with your original documents and passport etc.

    Hi! Could anybody with the answer to my below question pls reply urgently!
    I have all documents except my MAIN DEGREE ready! That is I have my degree but it is not attested according to their requirements.. it will take atleast 2-3 weeks!! Can I submit the rest of my application now and submit that later?!

    Dear Dr. Bharath,

    This is my first post on your site, so let me begin by saying a sincere thank you to you for generously sharing your experiences and creating a community of MCI applicants. You blog has been a great support for me.

    I am appearing for the March 2012 exam and had a question about this because the information bulletin seems to give contradictory information:

    On page 4, it says, the exam consists of one paper and the applicant needs to get 50% to pass.

    On page 12, it says there are two papers -- one in the morning and one in the afternoon

    On page 41, it says there shall be three papers. The test for each paper will be of three hours duration. A candidate has to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in each paper separately for passing the Screening Test.

    Which of these is correct based on your experience?

      Dr.Sonali,
      The 1 paper containing 300 questions will be given in 2 sessions, as 150 mark papers. One in the morning and one in the evening. I hope they haven't changed the pattern after that. You will most probably be having the same thing. one paper in the morning and one in the evening.

      Sorry, in the afternoon, not evening. Get something to eat, canteen will be full during the break after 1st session. relax, don't discuss questions with your friends during the break. Just eat and take rest. It will be tiring if you don't eat properly, especially if you haven't slept well the previous day!

      you have to see individual results in natboard.edu.in , candidates list available only with MCI.

      go through the menu bar on the left, you`ll get to know the documents.
      MCI conducts exam in march and September last week sunday.

    hi ive jst cleared my class 12 exams wid pretty gud marks bt hvnt cleared any entrances here..my mum s thinking of colleges outside india...is it a risk?specially after ds MCI screening test announcement..pls help n also pls gv me d names of a few countries where i cn apply provided that dey r safe too...

      if you can afford in india, go ahead and do in indian private college.
      Outside, i studied in mauritius, was a safe and enjoyable place. You have lots of options, ukraine, phillipines, russia, china etc.
      It depends on the decision you take.

      1. It is tough, if he doesn;t study in those 5-6 years.
      2. Multiple choice questions.
      3.No negative marking.

    nd thnx 4 watevr u r doin 4 the medical graduate fraternity is commendable ... i hav passd my 12th std. ths year bt cudnt clear any govt. medical xams nd private collgs demand hefty donations... which i cant afford... so finally nw i m goin 2 phillipines 2 study..my queries are-
    whthr it is a gud place to study?
    wht pattern is the mci exam?
    whthr -ve marking thr?
    wat is the passing prcent?
    hw many attempts r givn?
    procedure after clearng the test?
    better 2 do internship in india or abroad?
    hw 2 prepare 4 the exams-whthr questions r asked frm all the 4nd half years course?

      1. IT is a decent place to study as the pass percentages from Phillipines are good.
      2.MCQ based patter, might introduce pictures and more from next year onwards.
      3.no negative markings.
      4. Pass percentages are low, but improving slowly. Exam is getting a little bit tougher than before. But with good preparation it shouldn't be a problem to clear.
      5. No set number of attempts till now.
      6.Look at internship in india pages from the menu on top left.
      7. Depends on where you want to settle. Abroad internships will probably save you time. Internship in India will give you a rich exposure to patients. INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE
      8. Questions are asked from all subjects ( total 19 subjects) go through my blog, you will get answer as how to prepare.

    Philippines is beter dan other countries....the study patern is hard,they will make you study very hard or if not you will be kicked out imediately after a second change,if you study nicely MCI will be no longer hard for you :)

    Hi Sir. I want to give the March 2013 screening test exam. as I am outside the country I will be sending the documents to a friend who is visiting Delhi and I will ask her to submit it. Sir I got the address but can u tell the timings of the office to submit it,because I do not want her to be wasting her whole day behind it . and irrespective of whether you reply or not Sir, your blogs are helpful got to know about this via a friend.. thanks

    I'd been continuously confused by different people saying many different things. My humble request is that, please explain it clearly-
    Do we have to appear the MCI screening test even if we study in a private medical college which is only MCI approved and if it is not yet MCI recognized ?

    hi i am planning to go to china for mbbs but the only thing that is stopping my parents from taking a final decision is the mci screening test ! is it very difficult ? can a student not clear it if he or she is given proper coaching through out the five years and also if studies well.... i am very confused .... i will be glad if you could answer my query as soon as possible :)
