MCI Screening Test - Late submission of Documents

Hello dear friends,
I know many of you might not have received all your necessary documents within MCI`s last date for applying for the screening test. That is why i would like to put up the following scan and details regarding what course of action you can take.

1. You can Submit incomplete documents before last date.
For sure!, do not worry. I was in same situation. This is the letter i got


This means, within 10 days of your examination you are required to submit your remaining documents.

2. You will receive a provisional Hall ticket, with which you can write the exam. Off-course, your results will be delayed by 2 or 3 days than normal.

    hi, i am appearin for fmge exam in sep.. but since we have just finished our courses and our expecting our degrees in july 1st week with apostilling and stuff.. but last date of form submission is 30 th june.
    so do you have any information about if dates will be extending ? or can we submit form and other documents except degree copy and submit that later..?

    thanks a lot dr . bharath...!! for sharing this info and showing us how the mci sends deficit letter, like the one you recieved.. this gives us first time appearing fresh graduates confidence to submit our applications without degree currently.. and submit later in due time..

    5. PAYMENT OF FEES
    Candidates are required to submit the following fees:
    a) Examination Fee – Rs 3500/- (Three Thousand Five Hundred)
    b) Application Form Fee (to be submitted by candidates using internet
    downloaded forms) – Rs 750/- (Seven Hundred Fifty only)
    c) Late Fee – To be submitted by candidates submitting their application form
    after the cut off date but before the cut off date with late fee as prescribed in
    this Information Bulletin – Rs 1500/- (One Thousand & Five Hundred only)
    The fee can be paid by the following means:
    d) By cash deposit : At all branches of Indian Bank and Axis Bank. Kindly use
    the specialized pay-in-slip provided in this Information Bulletin for this purpose
    (Annexure C.)
    e) Fees submitted by any other means shall not be accepted.

    Ur blog is very useful. Great job.
    Just a question - when does MCI respond to the applications we send - for eg. i submitted the application on 9th june and was told by the MCi that they will communicate through mobile via sms or e-mail - but havent heard anything from them as of date. When will the initial response come from MCI regarding the completeness of application?

    Hello Dr. Sujatha,
    Good Question. I'll tell you my experience regarding this, you can be at-least 80 % sure that this is what will happen. If not, do please share your opinion!
    I submitted my application incompletely on Jan 13th 2011.If you check the date on my scan above, it will say 15th march 2011!
    That's how late you will come to know and receive your provisional hall ticket. However, i knew on march 10th when they updated my status in their website www.natboard.edu
    I got my remaining documents ready and submitted them promptly.

    But i will tell you one thing for sure Dr. Sujatha, If you have submitted your application, be assured that you will write your examination!
    Read my scan carefully, you will have 10 days time after your exam to submit the remaining documents. If you have already given all your documents, well and good. You will get proper eligible hall ticket on the month of your exam. I doubt if you would get any intimidation before that.

    @ showkat:- Dr.Showkat,
    Just fill the application form when it comes out, submit whatever documents from the checklist that you have. The remaining documents can be submitted within a week of the exam. You can ask the MCI once. I know people who have done this. The maximum penalty that you will get is, you're result will be anounced a week later than normal.

    hello sir....sir 1 of my friend iz goin to appear in sep mci...he applied fr eligblty 1 year back still he didnt recievd tht...but he applied fr screening test sep 2011....nw national board has sent a letter to him to submitt eligiblity utpo 10 sep...then h went to mci they are asking fr some docmnts which he cannot produce ths time.sir is there any solution to this problem can he appear without eligblty...thnxxx

    he can appear without eligibility for the exam, but his result will be withheld and if he is not able to produce it within 10 days after the exam, his result will be forfieted.

    Better produce whatever he doesnt have and get eligibility fast.

    Licentiate Examination 2013: bt i m unable to understand meaning as they said it is optional till 2016????? i m studying in china i will finish my intern in 2014 and then will appear for exam ...so plz make it clear for me that what is new rules for exam and pattern as they said there will be image,,audio and video clips ??????

    @anonymous1:- Don't worry doctor, as far as i know there wont be any images, videos or audios in the near future.It doesn't matter when you finish and come, pattern will be the same.The only things which will change in the near future are the emphasis they give for particular subjects.For eg:- at present PSM, ophthal are important, who knows tommorrow you might get 30 questions from microbiology!

    @showkat:- Your situation is very grave my friend. Better call up MCI. Apply for eligibility fast. Forget your preparation for a few days. Best thing to do, would be to sit in Delhi and get your eligibility and submit it. Just talk to MCI people to extend the date.

    @anonymous1:- Doctor, i read page 50. It is quite interesting, but has not yet been implemented. There is a talk about the common entrance test for PG entrance in Jan 2012. But no concrete word from MCI so far. I would like to tell you that even if you finish by 2014, and they said that pattern will change, I would still bet you that they will still revolve around the same principles i told in my posts. Nine or ten subjects will be important, and MCQ oriented questions hasn't changed in the MCI screening test since 2003.

    @showkat:- i got my results around 2 weeks later, but that was because i had late submission of documents. Otherwise, you will most probably get it in a week, if all your documents are proper.

    Hi, guys my result is withheld. Its over a month. No information whatsoever from any body. I submitted all the relevent documents. Did any body got any information. Is it common to delay withheld result for so long. The last date of application submission for March 2012 is 31st December 2011. If the result are not disclosed till then what shall i do. Anybody got any ideas.

    @anonymous:- Did you try contacting them directly? I had a friend from kashmir, whose result was withheld for roughly 2 months. He had a horrible time. Try contacting MCI, they won't do it unless they have some specific problem that the clerk doesn't understand. Maybe it doesn't contain high commission seal or something.

      After you write your exam, you will have 10 days time to submit your remaining documents. Go ask in NBE, which documents are yet to be submitted, get attestation from gazzeted officer from nearby dwaraka court for 20 rs, and submit it!

      i had received it in the last week. You are allowed to write the exam, even if you dont have your hall ticket. You can call up NBE, and try to find out your roll no, or if it is updated in the site, but you haven't received your hall ticket- kindly take a printout of the page where it shows your number.

      if you do not get your degree, (which i think you will only after your graduation is over)you will be able to apply for the exam.

    i mean to say according to MCI what i heard is everyone should complete their graduation before writing MCIscreening test but my graduation is going to complete 2 weeks late after the exam.i have already given the exam on march 25 th 2012 ,my graduation is going to complete by 10 th april ,will the MCI consider my result if i pass in the MCI screening test(march 2012)

      you will have to submit your degree within 10 days of the examination. otherwise, result wont be valid as far as i know.

      ask for a scan of your degree urgently. Take color printout - laminate it. Take plain xerox of those and get it attested. Send your documents urgently. I cannot think of any other way.

      Try calling up NBE and verifying. If required send a new one. Don't worry, there was a girl who was sitting in front of me during the exam who told me she had applied 1 week after the last date!
      Don't worry, just apply and write. Verify first though. I won't be surprised if they actually find it out only after you tell it :-) but why take risk?

    Hey Drbkid,

    I am checking this for my brother.. He has Completed his MBBS, He has sent us the Duly filled application to us and i payed the the Challan and sent the application over to the Concerned. The problem here is We are changing our Home, we are moving to a different place, but in the same city, Almost just 500 Meters far from the old place...Do we get any call while delivering the hall ticket..? And when do we usualy get the hall tickets, is it in the same month of examinations or sumthing..? Any Answer would be greatly Apprciated.

      1. You wont get any call.
      2. You might even receive your hall ticket just a week before exams too!

      You most probably have to tell the person who is staying in that address to collect the letter for you , and inform you.

      Find out the problem , if you have time. You must be having an idea what is the document which is deficient - embassy seal / apostile / eligibility certificate etc. Call up natboard to find out.

    Dear Dr Bharath,
    I've been going through your blog and I find it very useful. I have a unique problem and i wonder if you could help me. I was a Nepali citizen before my marriage to my husband early this year, who is an Indian citizen. I did my Medical college from Nepal itself and completed my internship on May 2013. I learnt that to practise in India I have to get myself registered and to get myself registered I have to pass the FMGE screening test, but this test is only open to Indian citizens.
    So i got my Voter's ID made after my marriage. i applied for the eligibility certificate on July 2013 and I applied for the FMGE sep 2013 test which i appeared for as well.
    but now my result has been withheld on account of my not having submitted my eligibility certificate. and MCI said they'll take at least six months to process my eligibility certificate. So that means i wont get my result until my eligibility certificate comes and that'll take another 3 months if we go by what they said.
    so what i would like to know is...1) is there any way to hasten the eligibility certificate process?
    2) till what date am i required to submit my deficient papers before they really cancel my exam as they said in the notice?
    3) where do i send those deficient papers? to MCI or to NBE?
    4) if i dont get my eligibility certificate on time but before march, can i apply for the FMGE march 2014?
    I would be very grateful if you could help me.
