I am going to list the suggested books, as some one had asked ( this is obviously extra books which will help you a lot (provided you have sufficient time)
30/04/13 :- Coaching class notes are best for Surgery, Pediatrics.(PG)
1. Medicine :- Mudit Khanna MCQ internal medicine
2. Surgery - Rachna Chaurasia /// Arora
3. PSM - Vivek Jain ( gem of a book!)
4. Microbiology/immunology by Jain/Chaurasia or Arora
5. Pathology - Sparsh gupta
6. Pediatrics and neonatology - Jitendra talekar / Coaching class notes
7. OBG & Gynae - Sakshi arora
8.All small subjects ( anat, physio, biochem, FMT,ophthal, dermat, psychiatry) - ACROSS vol 1, 2.
Believe it or not, i had all these books when i wrote MCI plus AIIMS ( Amit Ashish) and also AIPGMEE Mudit Khanna.
But i never finished anything completely, did subjectwise MCQ's as much as possible. DIAMS coaching classes and test papers were the core training though.

ReplyDeleteAs i have mentioned in the posts above, if you have enough time say 6 months to prepare then buying MCQ's subject-wise and doing atleast 9 important subjects in detail is helpful. If however you find yourself for a lack of time, then however i would suggest you to rely on DIAMS class notes and DIAMS MCQ and Golden points. Check out the Class notes section if you are interested.

Obviously, i would say my notes are good. They helped me get 234/300 in march 2011. They are given by some of the best teachers in DIAMS. They are more MCQ oriented. The rest depends on you. Kindly check the scanned pages. If you feel comfortable, go ahead and send me an email to drbkid@gmail.com

@Dr.Kriti:- offcourse, foreign author books will give you concepts. Regarding mci exam, a more mcq oriented approach plus special approach to controversial questions is required.Because you see, in India, there will be too many people writing exams and very few seats. They will try to put confusing questions. It takes a good preparation to overcome those confusing questions. This is the reason why so many coaching classes are flourishing in India! Regarding links, i myself have more than 30 gb of ebooks, but i hardly read any of them. Plus, no ebooks for Indian authors unless someone scans them. I`ve got some free downloadable practice papers, other books which i scanned as pdf i charge some amount. You can check it out in the section called cheap medical books

National Board Of Education [NBE] want us to pass this exam .
No need to study evrything just try to study BASIC OF MEDICINE..
No need to stdy Harrison Or Bailey and Love..
They just want to know wheather you have your basics clear or not .
Please do Smart work ..
Bcz even though you studied evrything once you are der in d xam hall ...
a very simple question will seems to be a very difficult one for you..
And Remember one more thing Luck factor is also have a great value in MCI exm ..
Some time a lot of studious can't make it bcz they dont have that Luck thing wid them ..
and If you want that luck factor inside you ..start praying to god
Everyday if you r giving 10 or 11hours to your study

1.. AIPG papers mudhit khanna 94-2004 wid xplanation...complete it in 20days ...try to do 150question in a day ...
2. KAMAL kv ..it will take around 10dayss....
3. do final punch it will tak around 10 days...
4... thn do AIPG papers muhdit khanna 2005-2011 ..dont go for xplanation just try to memorize objective..it will tk around 10days ..
sooo together it will tk around 50days to complete evrything today itself its 29th nov....dnt think tht u hv xm on 25th march ..set ur mind tht u hav ur mci xm on 25th jan n u hav bloddy 2months to crack it .... nw go through wht i told u ..

ReplyDeleteI finished my MBBS on 2008 in Ukraine,National Medical university of A.A Bogomoolets.Then soon after i continued my specialization in Pediatry(3yrs).On November 2011 i finished it......Now i came to India to take registration,for MCI screening test....I dont know ,what i have to do for this screening test?and my specialzation in Pediatry have any helpful for my future,here in India????If i give the screening test,then can i work as pediatrition,or i have to do something else?

Delete1. You have to appear and pass screening test.
Delete2.if you have proof of completed internship, then apply for permanent registration. You may try. There might not be a need to do internship again if you have already done it.
3. You can practise privately as a pediatrician. Government hospitals wont recognize your md degree.
Since i have not done pg outside india, there might be certain issues i may not know. Kindly clarify with your seniors also.
i wish to tranfer from my university ..i would like to move to china .. i completed my first year in donetsk , ukraine ... will there be a big procedure to attain that ???
