With reference to your e-mail dated 07.05.2009, on the subject noted above, this is to inform you that if a candidate after completion of final MBBS from medical college in China complete his one year internship training there only, he can be considered for grant of permanent registration u/s 13(3) of the IMC Act, 1956, after passing the Screening Test conducted by the National Board of Examination, New Delhi, provided he meets the eligibility criteria prescribed by the Council in its regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 1997.

I just want to clarify for Internship outside India and post of that of sam sam that it should be from within same university where you have completed your graduation. As such there is no such rule but as per guide line of MCI that internship should be within same university (or say same medical college) of your graduation (weather within India or outside India). You can do internship in any well known hospital(preferably teaching hospital attached with medical college / university) in standardized rotational area. Your internship completion certificate from respective hospital should have attestation from Indian Mission (consulate or embassy) and then Ministry of external affairs MEA ). I Know girl finished graduation from Ukraine, passed NBE, obtained prov. registration from MCI and completed internship in U.A.E. with duly attestation of his internship completion certificate from Consulate general of India, Dubai. She got her permanent MCI too. No doubt, it took more than three month to receive from MCI.

ReplyDeleteYou are doing an excellent work bro. I need u to clarify a doubt regarding internship for me. I completed my MBBS in China. I came to India in March to write MCI March 2012 exam. But i dont think i will get through the exam this time. Now instead of wasting time taking coaching i am thinking of doing my internship in a well known hospital in Nepal as i dont want to go back to China.
-So can i do my internship in Nepal as i completed my MBBS from China? -Can i write MCI exam this september while doing internship in Nepal?
-If i pass the september MCI exam while doing internship in Nepal can i complete the remaining internship in Nepal and then come to India?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated..

there is an info, regarding china that internship must be completed in the same college. But bhaiyyaji, had mentioned about a girl who has done it from different universities. this was true till 2011. Kindly once call up MCI office, registration department to clarify.If you get to know the latest guideline regarding china, kindly post it here.

Hi Doctor. I want to ask that do we need to pay for our internship after FMGE in all the listed hospitals. Or there are few hospitals where we can do our internship for free.
